Some people ask me what kind of stuffs and things I use. This can include pretty much everything.
This list has absolutely no order to it whatsoever.
Yubikey
2FA + Passkeys
This allows me to have my 2FA tokens with me at all times while not relying on a smartphone. Not terribly cheap but generally worth it if you're interested in keeping your online accounts somewhat secure. And Passkeys are quite convenient as well.
Wristwatch
Casio F-91W
Cheap, works, battery lasts 5+ years. Can your Apple Watch do this?
Phone
Can't do shit
In addition to the Smartphone I can't quite get rid of, I use an HMD "Nokia" 3210 4G. It looks and feels pretty nice, supports VoLTE and has USB-C for charing. Also supports dual SIM if you're into that sorta thing.
Phone Plan
Probably still overkill
I use the Vodafone (Germany) CallYa Yearly Plan ("Jahrespaket") XS for the following reasons:
- Cheap, includes unlimited calls and texts as well as 20GB of data (which I can't really use) for €50/year, that's about €4 a month.
- Good coverage: works pretty much everywhere I go, if it drops to 2G every now and then I don't even care though, calls actually sound surprisingly decent on GSM with AMR.
- I can forget about it for a year, don't have to worry about prices changing or anything like that.
